Do you have a keen interest in the beauty and make up industry and want to learn more? Are you enthusiastic, motivated and enjoy working closely with others? We offer a full time Level 2 qualification for aspiring beauty therapists and make-up artists. The course will teach you anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and communication skills as well as linking retail opportunities into your treatments. The practical treatments we cover: Facials, skincare and tanning Manicures, pedicures and gel application Eye treatments – to include lash and brow tinting, brow shaping and lash lifting Waxing Apply and instruct makeup application There will also be an opportunity to learn treatments through enrichment activities. Kit and Uniform - You will need to purchase a kit and uniform before the start of the programme, the Level 2 mandatory kit and uniform will cost around GBP300 subject to change slightly with inflation. There is also up to GBP100 of optional extra’s and further details will be given to you at the Welcome Event. Work placement in the commercial environment is part of your course in which you will work on fee paying clients, this helps you to develop real life working skills and employability. On this Level 2 programme you may also be required to take part in our Industry Placement Programme, which is set for 2 days in addition to your study programme from October until the end of June, totalling 315 hours. All students are assigned an Industry Placement Coordinator who will work with you and support you through your placement journey. All placements are unpaid and should be meaningful placements that are relevant to the students study programme
