This 18-week level 2 Beauty programme offers an excellent opportunity to build up a beauty qualification on a part-time basis and is suitable for people currently working in the beauty industry or looking at a career change. It is also an invaluable extra qualification for hairdressers wanting to extend the range of services they offer. There will be extra training opportunities during the course which will have an additional cost attached. The course will teach you anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and communication skills as well as linking retail opportunities into your treatments. The practical treatments we cover: Facials, skincare, and tanning Manicures, pedicures, and gel application Eye treatments – to include lash and brow tinting, brow shaping and lash lifting Waxing Apply and instruct makeup application. There will also be an opportunity to learn treatments through enrichment activities and learning is embeded, so home study is required. Kit and Uniform - You will need to purchase a kit and uniform before the start of the programme, the Level 2 mandatory kit and uniform will cost around GBP350 subject to change slightly with inflation. There is also up to GBP100 of optional extra’s and further details will be given to you at interview. Work placement in the commercial environment is part of your course in which you will work on fee paying clients, this helps you to develop real life working skills and employability. There may also be a requirement for an additional Saturday to enhance your commercial skills.
